Kyle Foster BSc (Hons) PGDip MSCoR MHCPC is an accredited, active NHS Senior Ultrasonographer/Advanced Radiographic Practitioner. He is regulated by the Health and Professions Council and member of the Society of Radiographers, currently practicing Medical and Obstetric ultrasound with a practicing specialty and keen interest in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
With a National Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences, Kyle developed an interest in sports injury, biomechanics and medical imaging. This encouraged him to study for an undergraduate degree in Diagnostic Radiography from Birmingham City University, qualifying with honours in 2007. Following a career developing skills in various medical imaging modalities working closely with orthopaedic surgeons and rheumatologists alike.
Kyle extended his role further, receiving a post graduate diploma with distinction in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound in 2012.
A keen interest in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound was soon realised from his previous experience of sports injury, rehabilitation and propagated through the teachings of a passionate, experienced sonographer and a distinguished, much admired musculoskeletal radiologist.
This helped Kyle align with the 21st century confidence shared by many clinicians in musculoskeletal ultrasound as a rapidly emerging imaging modality for the diagnosis of soft tissue, muscular, tendon, ligament and joint problems.
Many Musculoskeletal Ultrasound examinations are performed by practitioners without formalised training.
In contrast, Kyle strived for several years for formal training, finally emerging with a distinction from Canterbury Christ Church University in his CASE accredited post graduate qualification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
