What Can We Scan?

Musculoskeletal ultrasound in the right hands can detect a plethora of conditions and help build a picture of the health of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Common Indications For A Scan

  • Suspicion of tendon/ligament injury or tear

  • Assessment of swellings (? fluid, ?soft tissue lesions) 

  • Restricted movement 

  • Joint instability

  • Repetitive strain

  • Slow recovery following injury

Common Conditions We Can Detect

  • Muscle, tendon, ligament strains/tears

  • Tendinopathies (Previously termed tendonitis) such as "tennis or golfers" elbow, "Jumpers knee"

  • Bursitis (such as "Housemaids knee", "bakers cysts"

  • Plantar fasciitis AKA "policemans heel"
