Background

With a National Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences, Kyle developed an interest in sports injury, biomechanics and medical imaging. This encouraged him to study for an undergraduate degree in Diagnostic Radiography from Birmingham City University, qualifying with honours in 2007. Throughout his career, he has developed skills in various medical imaging modalities working closely with orthopaedic surgeons and rheumatologists alike.

Kyle extended his role further, achieving distinction in the post graduate diploma of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound in 2012 from University of Liverpool.

Many Musculoskeletal Ultrasound examinations are performed by practitioners without formalised training.

In contrast, Kyle has years of experience and formal training, and qualified with a distinction from Canterbury Christ Church University in his CASE accredited post graduate qualification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

Most recently, in order to strengthen his clinical knowledge in musculoskeletal pathology, Kyle took the extra step and became the first ever sonographer to qualify with a postgraduate certificate in Musculoskeletal Medicine from the University of Leeds, a course traditionally reserved for medics and first contact practitioners.

Kyle is currently working towards a postgraduate certificate in Education with Keele University, and has written and teaches their Masters of Science in Medical Imaging course.

Kyle works hard to be in the best possible position to target and diagnose your musculoskeletal complaints, and provide you with the most skilled opinion in the region. He prides himself on his ability to give a 'lay-man's' explanation to talk you through your scan and results.
